Important Physical Characteristics: Julian is in his mid-twenties, and stands somewhere around 6' tall. He was born in England but is of African descent, and has incredibly deep brown eyes and dark, wavy hair. He's always dressed nicely, in Victorian-style suits (circa 1887) that are various shades of deep blue and teal.

Julian Hemingway is one of seven Astral Knights—the Queen's secret guard made up of the most elite astromancers, or users of astral magic. Julian is the knight born under the sign of Neptune, and as such he has the power to sense the emotions of others and create illusions telepathically, as well as the ability to control his planet's element, water. He's the best at what he does, but he hasn't seen much in the way of battle, and since he's been a member of the Astral Order for less than six years, he's still quite inexperienced in some ways.

Julian comes from a long line of astromancers, and, unlike a couple of the Knights, has known about magic since he was young, before he had awakened. He's a firm believer in fate and destiny and prophecy, and holds the Tales his parents told him very dear.

He's also very artistically inclined. He plays the flute, and sketches and paints constantly, often into the late hours of the night. He's a quiet, reserved sort of person, but anyone who bothers to strike up a conversation with him will find that he's not only thoughtful, but also has a wonderfully dry sense of humor.

***For pups who can sense magic: If your pup can sense the amount and/or location of magical energy, Julian has a lot of it. (How much, relatively, is up for discussion of course.) The convergence of his energy (or any other Neptune astromancer's) is located in his head, flowing in the space behind his eyes and between his ears. Your pup may also notice another source of energy, contained in a sword-shaped pendant that Julian normally wears beneath his clothing.
